With its familiar shape and bite-sized goodness, Rigatoni is one of the most popular pastas around. This version uses the finest ingredients with traditional Italian techniques to elevate a beloved piece of pasta to perfection.
Rigatoni traces its origins to Italy’s Lazio region, particularly Rome. The name Rigatoni comes from the Italian word "rigare," meaning "ridged" or "lined." The large, hollow tubes are perfect for capturing thick, hearty sauces inside to deliver a burst of tasty goodness in every bite. At the same time, the ridges on the surface ensure that lighter, more delicate sauces cling effortlessly to the pasta.
Overall, rigatoni's texture, shape, and robustness make it a go-to choice for pasta lovers seeking a satisfying, sauce-hugging experience. Sfoglini Rigatoni is made with premium semolina flour, a staple in classic Italian pasta that helps to create pasta that holds its shape and delivers the perfect al dente bite.
Try Rigatoni in our Jalapeño Popper Mac and Cheese recipe or with a Slow Roasted Tomato Sauce.
I discovered Sfoglini pasta years ago. They make the best pasta and my Italian in-laws agree!
This pasta is delicious!
This is nowhere near Italian pasta from Italy. You can always tell by cooking times in the foam that forms while you’re boiling the pasta. Don’t get me wrong it’s not a terrible product but it’s not worth the price. Definitely better than anything you could buy in the store. I will not be coming back here to make another purchase.
We apparently cannot get enough of this pasta. Having fun trying out new sauce recipes with our fancy pastas.
