It's firm but chewy, and takes on pesto, tomato sauce, you name it, it's divine. End of story.
Great taste and shapes. It really does scoop up the sauce, whether thin or thick.
The texture is very different from any pasta I’ve ever had, quite dense and filling.
I placed two orders from QVC and then a considerably larger order from Sfoglini. The Cascatelli might be my favorite. It’s hard to single out any one shape, there are so many that are fun and they’re all yummy.

Wouldn’t use any other pasta for our family’s macaroni and cheese - made with zucchini, cauliflower, and cottage cheese
My family calls this "everyone's favorite pasta". They absolutely love it. I make it with spicy Italian sausage, bell peppers, onions, tomato sauce and a splash of cream with parmesan. A box makes a very generous portion...or so I thought until my kids got done with it. I'm now going to try a few other varieties pasta and hope they are half as good as this one.
