Hailing from the Campania region in Southern Italy, Ziti comes from the Italian word “zita,” which means “bride” or “groom” and is why this pasta is traditionally served at weddings, symbolizing the union of the couple. The long, wide tubes of Ziti make it ideal for everything from classic macaroni and cheese to baked ziti to hearty soups, as it holds up well and absorbs sauces nicely. “Baked ziti,” a popular Italian American dish, typically combines ziti with marinara sauce, cheese, and sometimes meat, then baked until bubbly and golden.

Our Einkorn Ziti is made with a blend of Einkorn and organic durum semolina, a staple in traditional Italian pasta for centuries. We use a traditional bronze die extrusion and slow-drying process to add a rough texture that gives your pasta sauce something to cling to.
